CHANGE THE WORLD
ONE STEP AT A TIME
Join Peace House Africa on an unforgettable adventure of volunteering at Peace House Secondary School (PHS) and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro! Participants on this trip will spend three days at PHS working with the students, teaching English and doing projects on campus. They will then embark on the Kilimanjaro Trek, followed by an amazing safari.
Destination Tanzania Safaris (DETASA) will guide the team of climbers on a private 7 day/6 night trek, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro during a full moon. Known as the Roof of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa at 19,340 feet. This seven day trek will give you plenty of time to acclimate and take in the beauty of the mountain. Even if you have not done much hiking, summiting Kilimanjaro is achievable with preparation and encouragement from fellow climbers!
